Course Objectives:

As a continuation of Semiconductors course (ELCT 503), the Electronic Circuits course (ELCT 604) will cover applications of semiconductor devices (BJT and MOS transistors) and integrated circuits (ICs).The course will focus on advanced transistor amplifier analysis, including frequency and feedback effects. Design of differential amplifiers, power amplifiers and CMOS operational amplifiers (op-amps). This course run together with the part of Microelectronics LAB [ELCT 605] related to the CAD tools for analog IC simulation (Cadence Simulation).

Instructional Goals:  Help the students to understand Basic Analog circuits’ application.

Objectives:

After finishing this course, students will be able to analyze and design analog circuits such as amplifiers with an emphasis on design suitable for implementation in monolithic IC fabrication.
